As our society becomes more politically aware and charged, our colour choices reflect that. People demand a warmer and brighter colour palette in their wardrobe in the form of oranges, yellows, reds and purples to change a classic, timeless piece into a more invigorating and intriguing form of expression. Pastel has also more recently been an emerging theme to adapt the bold, colourful approach first seen in A/W 18/19 to a more softer appearance - bold aqua, sunny yellow, purple, pale pink, lime and powder blue. People are less scared of judgement as our society increasingly becomes more accepting of diversity hence the reason for a less reserved colour palette for this season. These are just some of the colours we can expect to see in stores:

Rust and Earth Tones: Paired with shades of spicy oranges and red with silky materials complemented by a more utilitarian look. The departments where these colours are predicted to be most prominent are summer casuals, occasion, swim and lingerie.

Elevated Neutral: Neutrals in fashion are now moving towards a more fashion forward, sophisticated look rather than being used for your everyday basic items. They will be seen in premium options, semi-sheer linens and sparkle-encrusted sheer films. It is designed to be people new alternative to the in-famous white.

Jewelled Purples: Purple in 2019 is predicted to be our new pink. Paired with khaki and yellow will be the new colour clash combinations for glamorous evening wear and sporty windbreakers.

Sherbet Yellow: Yellow is already an extremely popular colour amongst the Generation Z so this new adaptation of it makes it more wearable for the high street. It will be seen paired with the elevated neutrals, purple, pink lilac, sky blue and peppermint.

Bold Red: This was a trend already seen in the AW 18/19 season and we obviously love it too much to let it go just yet.

Pink Lilac: Another adaptation of the very classic baby pink and lilac trend that late adopters will be all over as we move into a "new age of purples". It will be seen in cold-shoulder blouses, chunky sweaters, dresses and especially coloured denims- skirts being very popular.

Fruity Oranges: The colour orange has been very popular within political colour statements as US students used it when protesting for tighter gun laws. Showing that consumers are using and choosing colour a lot more carefully. It will be seen in casual wear and the streetwear pieces to make more of a statement.

Sky Blues: The sky blue trend is an adaptation on consumers appetite for brighter colours mixed with last years powdery blues.
